An extra marital affair took a ferocious turn for the husband in Mewasa of Rajkot, when the wife plotted to kill him. However, the tables turned when the husband overheard the conversation between the accused and grabbed the killer instead.

The incident took place at the Mewasa village of Virpur in Rajkot district. The three accused namely – Ashish Arvindbhai Sakaria, resident of Mota Bhadara village in Jamkandora, Prateek Chandubhai Virdia and Hina had planned to kill husband Kishore.

Accused

While Hina and Ashish were having an affair, they, along with friend Prateek had planned to kill Hina’s husband. On the afternoon of November 11, both Ashish and Prateek reached Hina’s residence with the plan to hang Kishore to the fan while he was asleep.

To Kishore’s luck, he overheard the conversation between the three and came out screaming for help. Following which, people from the neighbourhood reached the house and grabbed Ashish and Prateek. During the tussle, Ashish was injured.

Police statement

The trio was then handed over to the police. The Rajkot Rural police informed that Hina and Ashish were planning to run away. But they all have been arrested and charged with IPC 305 and 325 on attempted murder.
