Thursday’s state-level Republic Day celebration in Jaipur has seen the national flag raised by the Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra. Prior to arriving at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, where the event was scheduled to occur, he paid respects to the martyrs at the Amar Jawan Jyoti.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Usha Sharma, the chief secretary, Umesh Mishra, and other officials welcomed the governor to the stadium.
After the national anthem, Mishra unfurled the tricolour and surveyed the march. Then, a number of cultural performances with folk musicians and other performers took place.
Speaker of the Rajasthan Assembly C P Joshi attended the event along with other dignitaries.
