In an effort to position Rajasthan as a leading state by the year 2030, the Rajasthan government has received more than 2.5 crore suggestions from the residents of Rajasthan and various stakeholders.
The government machinery is now diligently collating these suggestions to draft a comprehensive Vision-2030 document, slated for release by the end of this month.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot initiated this campaign to solicit input for Vision 2030 through a dedicated website and other communication channels at an event held last month. As part of this initiative, government departments are actively engaging with their respective stakeholders, conducting face-to-face surveys to gather valuable insights.
Upon concluding this extensive exercise by September 15, individual vision documents for each department will be unveiled. Subsequently, by the end of September, the state will see the release of an overarching Vision 2030 document.
In a recent review meeting chaired by Rajasthan Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, feedback regarding the received suggestions was assessed. It was disclosed that the government had amassed a total of more than 2.5 crore pieces of feedback through various channels.
To compile the vision document, a face-to-face survey has been carried out using the Jankalyan App, with participation from over 1.5 crore citizens. Additionally, suggestions have poured in from more than 2.5 lakh citizens, departmental officers and employees via the Mission-2030 website.
Moreover, consultations with departmental stakeholders, IVR surveys, interactive video surveys and form submissions have contributed to an additional 80 lakh suggestions.
Inclusive in this endeavor, students have been actively engaged, with 10 lakh students participating in essay and speech competitions held within their educational institutions, all aimed at shaping Vision-2030.
Chief Secretary Usha Sharma emphasised that the Vision-2030 document would encapsulate the essence of all the valuable suggestions garnered from across the state.
Notably, the release of the Vision-2030 document is strategically timed just ahead of the impending Rajasthan Assembly elections. Scheduled for December this year, the announcement is anticipated in the first or second week of October. As such, this vision document for 2030 is viewed as a political move, offering a glimpse into the government’s roadmap for the next five years.
