The Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha and World Trade Park organized the Jaipur Marathon on Sunday. Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra flagged off the 14th edition of the Jaipur Marathon from Ramniwas Bagh.
On this occasion, he proclaimed the motto “Clean Jaipur, Swasth Jaipur,” saying that similar marathon activities will further the “Fit India” initiative. He asserted that only by experiencing such things, we can advance toward having a healthy body and mind. Mishra expressed his congratulations and best wishes to the runners who took part in the marathon from both India and overseas.
In addition to Governor Mishra, a sizable crowd also attended the marathon, including MP Ramcharan Bohra, Bollywood celebrities Sonu Sood and Rannvijay, and Pandit Suresh Mishra of Sanskriti Yuva Sansthan, the event’s organiser.
People began showing up at the Albert Hall gate for the marathon as early as three in the morning. This marathon attracted participants from all around the world, and it was divided into various categories. Many participants in the marathon did it while sporting turbans. Along with the youth, a sizable number of others of various ages took part in it.
When conversing with everyone, Sonu Sood stated that Jaipur residents are aware of fitness. He said, “Everyone in this pandemic has received the word to be active, and it makes them happy to see that 10,000 people are running here. In addition to providing entertainment, I also want to help people understand their societal obligations. Rajasthan and Jaipur hold a particular place in my heart since I always experience an outpouring of love there that I will never forget.”
Our organisation has introduced a new Inspiration Medal this year, according to Mukesh Mishra, CEO of the AU Jaipur Marathon. All participants in the 42-kilometre event will receive this in addition to their awards. On the marathon course, 65 zones including emergency, entertaining, and inspirational were also built. Participants came from a variety of nations, including Japan, France, Thailand, Bangladesh, Italy, America, Kenya, Germany, and New Zealand.
At 3 am, the first race was signalled off. In all, 1 lakh runners from over 15 different countries, 70 states, and more than 140 different cities around the world were spotted running in this. Until 10 am, the race was still going on JLN Marg. Volunteers were fielded to assist people with needs, including medical assistance. The category for wheelchair runners was also available.
Another milestone was achieved at the marathon held in conjunction with VGU University, where 5,000 runners were spotted with turbans. People were spotted running remarkably to Punjabi, Rajasthani, and Bollywood music.
