Rajasthan’s first female bodybuilder, Priya Singh recently came into limelight for showcasing the women power by winning gold medal in the 39th International Women’s Bodybuilding Competition that took place in Thailand.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and Former CM Vasundhara Raje sent their felicitations to the gold medalist.
Priya is a native of Dungargarh, Bikaner district and she was married off at a very young age of eight. She was from an unsophisticated Meghwal family. Due to the financial crisis at her place of residence, she started working. She applied for a job at the gym and she got selected because of her bold personality.
After witnessing others training at the gym, she develops the idea of training and her hard work pays off as she becomes the first female bodybuilder of Rajasthan. She has achieved the title of Miss Rajasthan 2019 and 2020.
Priya Singh has accomplished all her achievements by fighting the unfavourable and adverse circumstances in her life. She is a housewife and a mother of two.
“It takes more diet and hard work for a woman to build a body the same as a man,” she said.
