The Gehlot Government in Rajasthan transferred up to 75 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) ahead of the assembly elections later this year, including eight additional directors general (ADGs), two range inspectors-general (IGs), and 22 superintendents of police (SPs).
According to a list released by the Department of Personnel, range IGs from Jodhpur and Udaipur, Superintendents of Police (SP) from 19 districts, and two deputy commissioners of police from the Jaipur commissionerate were among those transferred.
According to the list, Additional Director General (ADG) (Crime) Raviprakash Meherda has been appointed DG Civil Rights and Cyber Crime, and Armed Battalion ADG Janga Srinivas Rao has been appointed DG Training.
ADGs Prashakha Mathur, Sushmit Biswas, Dinesh MN, Sanjib Kumar and Vishal Bansal have also been transferred, it said.
SPs from Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Sikar, Baran, Jodhpur Rural, Barmer, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur Rural, Ganganagar, Dungarpur, Bhiwadi, Alwar, Pratapgarh, Dholpur, Rajsamand, Jalore, Banswara, Churu, and Tonk were also transferred, as were Deputy Commissioners of Police from Jaipur North and East.
