The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced some good news for the aspirants of the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts. The RRB has decided to relax the age limit for the ALP recruitment by 3 years, which means that candidates who are up to 33 years old can apply for these posts. The online application process will start from 31st January 2024 and will end on 28th February 2024.
Another benefit for the ALP candidates is that they will not have to wait for the final merit list to join the service. The RRB has declared that the candidates who clear the selection process will be immediately appointed as ALPs. Moreover, the RRB has also announced that the ALP recruitment will be conducted every year, which will create more opportunities for the eligible candidates.
The selection process for the ALP recruitment will consist of four stages, namely:
- First Stage CBT (Computer Based Test)
- Second Stage CBT
- Computer Based Aptitude Test
- Document Verification
The candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500, out of which Rs 400 will be refunded to those who appear for the First Stage CBT. The candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women, EBC, and Handicapped categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250, which will be fully refunded to those who appear for the First Stage CBT.
The ALP recruitment is a golden opportunity for the candidates who want to join the Indian Railways as a loco pilot. The candidates can check the official website RRB for more details and updates.
