So what if you know the Chief Minister or the Prime Minister. It is good but that will not come in between our duty.
In what is being dubbed as the most controversial Income tax raids in Gujarat, a prominent pharmaceutical company Shukra Pharma is being raided in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Interestingly, the raids are not being conducted by the Ahmedabad sleuths.
According to information available to Vibes of India, there is a big uproar in Gandhinagar, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh over these raids. The chairman of the Ahmedabad School Board, Sujay Mehta’s residence in Paldi is also being raided in connection with the Shukra Pharma raids.
Worse, the Shukra Pharma Board of director includes a person whose family is extremely close to prime minister Narendra Modi. “When Narendrabhai was not even the Chief Minister or General Secretary of the Bhartiya Janata Party, he has known this family”, a source told Vibes of India. This person, however, is only on the Board and not an investor in Shukra Pharma. The Shukra Pharma Board is led by eminent industrialist Dakshesh Shah. The investors include local BJP leader and Ahmedabad School Board chairman Sujay Mehta and his wife Payal. Payal’s sister is married to Dakshesh Shah. The family is known to be very cultured and well-educated.
It must be noted that over 92 officers of income tax are associated with the Shukra Pharma Raids which are being conducted at Bodakdev, Prahladnagar and Brahmkshatriya Society in Paldi. Whether Sujay Mehta who is Chairman of the school Board shall resign after these raids is yet not known.
Shukra Pharma manufactures tablets, injections and capsules. According to income tax sources, they have foreign collaborations too.
The Shukra Pharma Group is also has a big land bank. Sources claim that raids on Shukra Pharma group is a fall out of differences between two groups within the BJP. The group with which Shukra alliance has been close is on a weak wicket at the moment compared to the other group. To ensure secrecy, Shukra Group raid information was not shared with all concerned IT officers in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile raids are also on at Shiparam, Avirat, Swati and Shivalik group of builders in Ahmedabad.
