Actress Radhika Apte took to Instagram today to share a distressing experience at an airport, where she and other passengers were locked inside an aerobridge following a flight delay. The ‘Sacred Games’ star did not disclose the name of the city or the airline involved.
Apte posted photos and videos on Instagram, revealing that passengers were ushered into the aerobridge and subsequently locked in when the flight was delayed. “Today morning I had a flight at 8:30. It’s 10:50 now and the flight has still not boarded. BUT the flight said we were boarding and put all the passengers in the aerobridge and LOCKED IT,” she stated.
She further added that passengers, including those with small babies and elderly people, had been locked in for over an hour, with security refusing to open the doors. Apte shared a clip showing several people behind a locked glass door, some of whom were seen engaging with the security staff in the aerobridge.
The 38-year-old Bollywood star expressed her frustration as the airline informed the passengers that they would be stuck there for at least an hour more. “Now I’m locked inside. AND they just told us that we will be here till minimum 12pm. All locked in. No water, no loo. Thanks for the fun ride,” she wrote.
Apte revealed that the airline staff attributed the delay to a crew change, with the new crew yet to arrive. “Apparently their crew hasn’t boarded. The crew had the change and they are still waiting for new crew but they have no idea of when they will arrive so no one knows how long they’ll be locked inside,” she wrote.
Radhika Apte, known for her roles in ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Shor In the City’, ‘Badlapur’, ‘Andhadhun’, ‘PadMan’, and ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’, recently made a cameo in the movie ‘Merry Christmas’, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.
