Telugu star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has been shattering box office records since its release. The film is aiming to surpass the record set by SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 with its extraordinary run. Meanwhile, the action-packed entertainer has also become the fastest Hindi film to cross Rs 600 crore at the box office.
T-series shared the poster of Allu Arjun from Pushpa 2 The Rule on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, stating, “#Pushpa2TheRule is THE FASTEST HINDI FILM to hit the 600 CRORES mark. Collects 601.5 CRORES NETT in 13 days and records the highest collection on the 2nd Tuesday for any Hindi film.”
For those who are unaware, Pushpa 2: The Rule brought in Rs 23.35 crore on its second Tuesday and as of day 13, its domestic sum has reached Rs 952 crore.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’s Hindi Box Office Collection Was Low
With a lifetime domestic box office total of Rs 1030 crore, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion brought in Rs 510.99 crore in Hindi. At the Hindi box office, not even Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD collected Rs 600 crore. It appears that Allu Arjun’s film accomplished an unprecedented achievement.
Allu Arjun plays Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna plays Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil plays SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in Sukumar’s film. The movie, which is a follow-up to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, has been incredibly well-received by viewers.
Even though Allu Arjun was arrested after the Pushpa 2 screening stampede incident, the movie’s ticket sales were unaffected. Rather, ticket sales increased by 70% the day following his arrest. It is currently aiming to exceed SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 and based on the box office trend, it may do it by next week, even though it has already surpassed RRR and KGF Chapter 2‘s lifetime collection.
