Adipurush’s Lord Ram, Prabhas, abstained completely from all his favourites, including meat and wine.
According to a Hyderabadi movie star’s filmmaker friend, “He lived like a saint while he played Ram,” Subhash K. Jha.
He didn’t partake in any of his favourite activities. Prabhas, who hardly ever drinks, had little trouble abstaining from alcohol. But for him, giving up meat is like dying.
Prabhas’ mother reportedly became very unhappy when he told her.
“Prabhas’ mother became upset when he told her he was going vegetarian. She took it extremely personally because she enjoys making meat dishes for her son. Prabhas was required to provide an explanation of his necessity to adhere to the situation.”
The actor apparently did not want any aspect of his personal life to conflict with how he behaved on-screen. Prabhas is not unfamiliar with living in character.
He picked up skills in horseback riding, kickboxing, rock climbing, and sword fighting while Baahubali was being filmed. He had to alter his physical look as well.
He was underweight prior to Baahubali. Director S. S. Rajamouli did not approve of a thin warrior, therefore he worked out every morning and evening to build muscle. Six months before the start of the production, Prabhas would train for three hours every day. After that, he would shoot until 10 pm, rising at 5 am to prepare for a 7 am shoot.
