Ahmedabad: With few days left of Lord Jagannathan’s Rath Yatra, the police conducted a new activity to increase communal harmony among people. The 22 police stations of Sector 2 assembled to facilitate 788 students who passed Class 10th and 12th examinations. The police welcomed the students with drums and honored them with gifts and certificates.
The police family was also proud to honor the five department personnel children. Further, the officials also had a snack with the students to wish them a bright future. Sector-2 IG Gautam Parmar congratulated Zone 6 DCP Ashok Munia for making the program a success. According to people, this activity has left a good impression on their minds.
The Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra is not less than any examination for the police. Since the beginning of the month, they get jam-packed with preparations. On the other hand, the cops have made strenuous efforts to increase communal sincerity among the people. The authorities have appointed special officers to maintain law and peace in the city.
In January, Home Minister Amit Shah visted the Jagannath Puri Temple with his entire family.
