PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate healthcare facilities worth Rs 712 crore in Ahmedabad on October 11. PM Modi is going to visit Gujarat from October 9-11. Kidney Research Centre, UN Mehta Hospital will be a beneficiary of these developmental projects.
UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre will have medical facilities which include: a centre for heart and lung transplants, mobile ECMO working as an artificial heart and lungs, virtual simulation cardiac cath lab for doctors taking training in heart surgery, robotic cardiac surgery system, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, critical cardiac beds, coronary graft- floor measurement metre and other equipment.
PM Modi will dedicate a new hostel building built at a cost of Rs 71crore in the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre. The hostel has 10 floors plus the ground floor along with 2 basements,176 rooms, and a central library with a museum. Modern machines for heart treatments worth Rs 54 crore and other facilities will be inaugurated. The PM will also inaugurate the new hospital building of IKDRC built at Asarva. The hospital building built at a cost of Rs 408 crore has 850 beds.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also laid the foundation stone of two hospitals in Kalol, his constituency of Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The 750-bed Adarsh Multispecialty Hospital at Kalol is established by the Umiya Mata Kadva Patidar Education and Samaj Seva Trust Kalol.
