More than ten lakh people attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mega roadshow in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Thursday.
It was the Prime Minister’s largest and longest roadshow in the country, spanning around 50 kilometres and passing through as many as 14 Vidhan Sabha seats, 13 from Ahmedabad and one from Gandhinagar.
People in Ahmedabad were absolutely thrilled as Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a massive roadshow in the city on Thursday. People lined both sides of the streets that the prime minister’s convoy passed through. The crowd chanted ‘Modi…Modi’ as they showered petals on his convoy and held up posters of him.
The Prime Minister was also seen greeting and waving to people. Locals crammed every available space, including roads, balconies, and building rooftops, to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.
As the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections approaches on December 5, the BJP’s top leadership has increased its campaigning across 93 constituencies.
PM Modi will address four public rallies in Gujarat today, beginning with Kanakraj, followed by Patan and Sojitra, and concluding with Ahmedabad, where he will also hold a roadshow.
Amit Shah, Union Minister, will also hold rallies in Bechraji, Vijapur, and Gandhinagar South, as well as a roadshow in Vadodara.
On Thursday, more than 60% of Gujarat voters cast votes in the first phase of assembly elections. The second round of voting will take place on December 5, and the results will be announced on December 8.
