Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the National Emblem cast on the roof of the new parliament building on Monday, July 11.
The weight of the 6.5m high bronze National Emblem cast on the roof of the new Parliament building is approximately 9,500 kg. The steel structure supporting the emblem is nearly 6,500 kg in weight.
PM Modi also met with workers involved in the new Parliament’s work. The massive bronze emblem went through eight stages from conception to the final installation.
