Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Gujarat on 30-31 October, where he will take part in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations and launch a series of development initiatives valued at over Rs 280 crore.
On October 30, the Prime Minister will travel to Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, where at around 5:30 pm, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several infrastructure and development projects aimed at enhancing tourism, improving accessibility and supporting sustainability in the region, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Later, at approximately 6 pm, he will address Officer Trainees from the 99th Common Foundation Course participating in the Aarambh 6.0 programme. This year’s theme, ‘Roadmap for Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat’, brings together 653 Officer Trainees from 16 civil services across India and three from Bhutan.
On October 31, at around 7:15 am, Modi will pay floral tribute at the Statue of Unity, marking the beginning of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. Following this, he will administer the Ekta Diwas pledge and observe a parade with 16 marching contingents from nine state and UT police forces, four Central Armed Police Forces, NCC and a marching band. Highlights of the parade will include the Hell March by the NSG, a daredevil display by BSF and CRPF bikers, an Indian Martial Arts showcase by the BSF, a school children’s piped band and the ‘Surya Kiran’ flypast by the Indian Air Force.
