Prime Minister Narendra Modi has virtually inaugurated the three-day global Patidar business summit 2022 in Surat. In his inaugural remarks, PM Modi said, “Surat, one of the fastest growing cities in the world, needs to move forward with confidence.”
The Prime Minister appealed to society and industrialists to move forward to modernize agriculture. PM Modi reminded the participants that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had said at the time of independence that India has no shortage of wealth.” We just need to use our brains wisely. If we start a work with a resolve, the result is certain. Therefore, the words of Sardar Saheb should not be forgotten.”
PM Modi told the industrialists that different sectors are developing in the country. The summit should also consider how to move forward in new areas at the global level. What is lacking in the policies of the government. It should also be researched and brought to the notice of the government. You prepare the presentation. Stressing on modernization of agriculture, PM Modi said, “You have now become an entrepreneur but the roots are in agriculture. Our farming is left behind. There is a huge potential for growth in agriculture? Therefore, agriculture should also be modernized. We should also think about how to make a name for ourselves globally by increasing our investment in it. We have to import oil worth Rs 80,000 crore. So there is a need to be self-reliant. There are many commercial opportunities in food processing and natural farming. Therefore the giver of food should be made the giver of energy. And there is a need to focus on quality products,” he said.
