Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday presided over meetings that addressed the heatwave and the events following Cyclone Remal, particularly in the northeast.
According to official sources, the PM is also presiding over a meeting to go over the new administration’s 100-day agenda.
Exit polls that were released on Saturday indicated that the National Democratic Alliance, led by the BJP, would win convincingly and that Modi would hold onto office for a third consecutive term.
The PM held talks with top bureaucrats to review the post-cyclone situation and the ongoing heatwave in several regions of the country.
Additionally, he is presiding over a meeting to discuss the arrangements for celebrating World Environment Day.
Modi initiated the preparation of the 100-day plan for the incoming government for several government ministries well before the Lok Sabha polls.
