Shashi Tharoor says he is sure of his victory in Thiruvananthapuram even if Prime Minister Narendra Modi challenges him.
“I will win even if PM Modi stands against me in Thiruvananthapuram,” Tharoor said.
“The people have witnessed my work and myself. They are aware of my qualities, skills, and talents. They have the right to choose a different MP if they are not satisfied,” Tharoor added.
Tharoor said his initial ambition in politics was to become the foreign minister, but now it depends on the people’s verdict.
“My dream when I joined politics was to become the foreign minister, but now it is up to the people. My desire is to run for the fourth time if the party nominates me. It will be my final attempt for the Lok Sabha seat,” Sashi Tharoor said.
When asked if he would run for the assembly polls, he said his current priority was the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
