Prime Minister Narendra Modi boarded for a high-level US visit on Wednesday. PM has arrived in Washington DC and will be meeting global CEOs today. He was received by senior officials of the administration of Joe Biden and India’s envoy to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
Prime Minister landed at Joint Base Andrews to get welcomed by a crowd of Indian Americans, despite the rain. PM took to Twitter and thanked the Indian community in Washington DC for a warm welcome. He said, “Grateful to the Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome. Our diaspora is our strength. It is commendable how the Indian diaspora has distinguished itself across the world.”
PM Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to the US to address a meeting of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly and will also participate in the Quad Leaders’ Summit. The US president, Joe Biden will host PM at the White House tomorrow. This will be the first in-person meet between both after Joe Biden took over as the US president in January 2021.
