Due to the pandemic, the whole world has been slowed down and one of the most affected sectors has been education. It has been brought to a standstill.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman today during Budget announced for pushing of PM eVIDYA program to help deliver quality education.
‘One class, one TV channel’ program of PM eVIDYA will be expanded from 12 to 200 TV channels. According to the government, this will enable all states to provide supplementary education in regional languages for classes 1 to 12.
With better resources, the states would be able to provide education in regional languages which is one of the main ideas of NEP and it would also help to provide supplementary education to students for classes 1 to 12.
What is the PM eVIDYA program?
The Government of India had launched the PM eVIDYA program under which, the top hundred universities of the country will start educating students through online education after 30th May 2020. It is also known as One Nation One Digital Platform for quality education and is also considered a push for Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The government has also planned to start a radio podcast for students who cannot see, for the students throughout the country who do not have access to the internet swayam Prabha DTH channel will be launched to provide education, along with 200 other channels.
