Pakistan’s foreign ministry has reacted to the controversial speeches given at the Dharam Sansad, held at Haridwar from December 17 to 19. The Sansad sessions saw a whole series of hate speeches against Muslims. Yati Narsinghanand, the priest of Dasna temple in Ghaziabad in UP, urged the Hindu community to take up weapons against the Muslims just to ensure that India shouldn’t have a Muslim as a Prime Minister in the near future.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry summoned Indian Charge D’affaires M Suresh Kumar on Monday afternoon to convey their concerns. In an official statement Pakistan ministry, it stated that “Today, the Indian Charge d’affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad and asked to convey the Government of Pakistan’s serious concerns to the Government of India over the widely reported open calls by Hindutva proponents for carrying out genocide of Indian Muslims.”
Usually, it is India that has passed critical statements on atrocities against Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan. Former Delhi BJP Spokesperson Ashwini Upadhyay was among those who attended the event. FIR has been lodged against three persons involved in this case, namely Swami Dharamdas and Sadhvi Annapurna, along with Waseem Rizvi, who has changed his religion to Hinduism and his name to Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi, on Thursday under section 153A of the IPC that promotes enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, etc.
