No Work, No Post: Rahul Gandhi Warns Party Leaders

| Updated: April 15, 2025 22:16

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday made it clear to the top leadership of Gujarat Congress that those not handling the responsibilities well will not be given posts.

He was addressing party leaders at the Gujarat Congress’ Coordination Committee meeting at the Circuit House in Ahmedabad.

Earlier in the day, he kicked off party’s “Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan”.

Party general secretary K C Venugopal, in-charge for Gujarat Mukul Wasnik and state party president Shaktisinh Gohil were also present at the meeting.

Gujarat Congress sources told Vibes of India that Gandhi categorically told the party leaders that only those doing worthy work will be given responsibilities.

Gandhi also made it clear that leaders and workers, who come in an active mode only ahead of elections, will not be given tickets. He said only workers or leaders, who remain among the masses, will be given tickets.

Eyeing on 2027 assembly election, Gandhi is also believed to have told the leaders that district presidents, who have done good work, will also be made ministers when the Congress government is formed.

He further added that those doing worthy work will only be promoted.

Gandhi is also believed to have fixed the responsibilities of senior party leaders in Gujarat.
