Health experts already claimed the third Covid wave to be lethal for newborns and kids. A case from Surat has proved those claims to be true.
Twin baby girls were born at Santaba Vidiya Hospital in Surat On January 15. The family was celebrating the occasion but soon the celebration turned into worries as infants were tested positive for Covid. During the birth, they both weighed around 1200 gm and had normally infants do have very weak lungs and in further checkup, both of them were found Covid Positive.
The hospital is run by the Surat diamond association and both the girls were kept under NICU in the care of Pediatrician Dr Minesh Biyani and Dr Sanghavi under the scheme of Ayushman Bharat (AB-FMJAY).
After fighting the battle of 28 days long treatment both of them got recovered and were discharged today. The infants were undertaken under Ayushman Bharat (AB-FMJAY) scheme. The family thanked the hospital staff and doctors and celebrated the big win of those lucky twins on their discharge.
