Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made a plea to the public on Thursday, saying that the state government was working on a new excise policy to discourage alcohol consumption in the state.
The CM was speaking at a celebration for the 74th Republic Day that was taking place at the Garrison Ground in this city. Additionally, he gave greetings for today’s Basant Panchami, which is being observed.
“A new excise policy is being drafted to discourage drinking. Work for a nasha mukt (drug-free) society. Plant a sapling on your birthday, marriage anniversary or in memory of mother or any other occasion. I plant saplings daily,” he said.
Chouhan declared that Jabalpur will be home to the state’s second global talent park. Bhopal is home to MP’s first global park. He said that 332 hectares of land near National Highway-30 will be used to establish a new industrial metropolis in Jabalpur.
In addition to industrial units, the complex will include a logistic hub, commercial and residential plots, hotels, and medical facilities.
