On Wednesday, the second season of the Netflix series Indian Matchmaking began to broadcast. The controversial matchmaker Sima Taparia, often known as Sima aunty, assists her clients in their search for the ideal marriage. However, Sima aunty is shown in one of the episodes of the second season expressing her views on an older woman being married to a younger man. She stated that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas “aren’t a good fit” because of their large age difference.
Ms. Taparia is seen conversing at the house of one of her clients, Nadia, in the second episode of the show. Nadia’s mother mentions Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas as an example, pointing out that the actor is 11 years older than her husband. Sima responded with her viewpoint, adding “It doesn’t seem like a good fit to me. I apologise for it. Although they were married, it wasn’t a good match. In her presence, he appears so frail and little, while she appears older.”
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas married in 2018 and have a 10-year age difference. The married pair took their romance to the next level earlier in January when they brought their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas home after she spent 100 days in the NICU. The couple chose surrogacy to have their first child, and they have been devoted parents ever since.
The idea and emphasis on South Asian traditions of Indian Matchmaking, which made its debut in 2020, attracted a good amount of interest. Mumbai-based Taparia assisting Indian singles in finding potential life partners is the subject of the show. Viral Joshi, Shital Patel, Akshay Dhumal, Arshneel Singh, and Vinesh were among the new clients that Ms. Taparia introduced the audience to the current season. However, Nadia Jagessar, Pradhyuman Maloo, and Aparna Shewakramani are contenders who have returned to the programme.
