Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has once again received a death threat. The person making the threat has demanded an extortion amount of Rs 20 crore from Ambani and said that if the money is not paid, he will have to lose his life. He has claimed that he has the best shooters in the country.
According to the information received from the police, an unknown person has sent a threat email on the email id of Mukesh Ambani’s company on Friday. The email read, ‘If you don’t pay us 20 crore rupees we will kill you, we have the best shooters in India’.
After receiving this email, based on the complaint of Mukesh Ambani’s security in-charge, Mumbai’s Gamdevi police registered a case against an unidentified person under Sections 387 and 506 (2) of the IPC and started an investigation. The e-mail states that if the money is not paid, Mukesh Ambani may be attacked.
In October last year too, a person had called the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in South Mumbai, threatening to bomb the hospital. The caller then named Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani and threatened to kill them. He also threatened to blow up Mukesh Ambani’s house Antilia.
Earlier in February 2021, there was a stir when an abandoned SUV full of explosives was found near the Ambani mansion in South Mumbai. About 20 gelatin sticks and a letter were found in it. The letter threatened Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, after which Mumbai Police took action and arrested some people.
