I never used to look forward to events like ‘Mother’s Day.’ The reason behind this is that my mother always expects me to give her a gift with affection. I, on the other hand always used to think of this as another way of hers to make me do chores. I never used to buy anything for her and rarely made a card for her. This year as usual she reminded me that ‘Mother’s Day’ was on 8th May and I once again was irritated at her for expecting gifts from me. This time I thought of an excellent plan to stop this.I sat down with a pen and paper and began to write how much work she does for me and vice-versa. When I got to the end of the list, I was astonished. I barely even helped her, yet she took care of me all the time and still never expected anything. I decided that this time I will help her in her work and buy her something nice. I know it is not enough but it is a start.
To conclude, I would like to say that my mother’s cheerfulness, optimism and positive attitude truly inspires me. She thinks about everyone else before thinking about herself. She always teaches me things that helped me build my character and changed my outlook to things. Even the most difficult things become easy because she is there with me and without her help I would not be able to function. When she reads this I know she is going to be proud.

That’s an awesome piece of write up. Yes mother’s don’t need gifts. They just reciprocation to their boundless affection for their children.
