Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday stated that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will maintain its zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism.
Addressing during the 54th CISF Raising Day Parade in Hyderabad, he promised to deal forcefully with separatism, terrorism, and anti-national acts anywhere in the nation.
The Union Minister noted that the NDA government has successfully addressed internal security issues over the past nine years and confirmed that violence in Kashmir has significantly decreased. Insurgencies in the Northeast and areas affected by Left Wing Extremism have also decreased, and public confidence is rising.
He claimed that the number of those engaged in terrorism is decreasing and that many are giving up their weapons and integrating into society.
The CISF is commemorating Raising Day for the first time outside of the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi at the CISF National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hakimpet.
