During Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly today, Minister of State for Home – Harsh Sanghvi slammed the Opposition’s attack on the MD drugs issue.
At the time, former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel were engaged in gossip, so there was a kind of resentment among the newly appointed ministers that the former CM and deputy CMA remained silent instead of having a say.
Congress MLA Naushad Solanki, while giving his opinion in Hindi stated that former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel termed this as an insult to other MLAs and demanded that the words spoken to them be removed from the record.
The issue of drugs was also raised in the Assembly yesterday to which the Congress and the BJP leveled strong allegations against each other. While Congress, on the other hand, accused the government of keeping a close eye on drug lords.
