At the Met Gala, Blake Lively is the crowd’s favourite. Fans anxiously await the results of her style assessment. But, the Gossip Girl actor won’t be seen there this year.
The actor has confirmed that she won’t be present at the 2023 Met Gala on May 1, according to the media reports. However, the fashionista also mentioned that she would be paying attention to this year’s red-carpet fashion choices, which are based on the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”
“I will be watching,” she told reporters at the reopening celebration of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship store in NYC on April 27, and joked that she’ll wear her beloved 2022 Met Gala look “on my couch on Monday.”
At last year’s event, Blake appeared in an Atelier Versace gown with elaborate details and an enormous bow. Then, in a startling change, the carpet’s bow was untied to reveal green fabric.
It was a classic and well-planned outfit that in more ways than one paid homage to New York City (and the Met Gala’s theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”).
In February, Ryan and Blake welcomed their fourth child. Blake did not make it clear-cut in his speech. Rather, she posted a picture sans baby bump and wrote a cryptic note.
James (8), Inez (6), and Betty (3) are the couple’s three daughters. Ryan previously expressed how the three daughters of the couple feel about the new arrival.
“They’re in. They love it,” he said of his girls. “They’re ready. I’m very excited,” the star added of his own feelings. “We’d have to be. You know, you’d have to be a moron to do this four times if you didn’t like it. It’s gonna be nuts, but we’re very excited,” reported People.
Lively made her fourth pregnancy known in September, when she made a red carpet appearance at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit.
