Janak Panchal, a young Mumbai-born and raised talent, has showcased his exuberance in creating stunning visuals that weave a story into themselves, propelling him forward as a phenomenal cinematographer, photographer, and colorist in filmmaking and entertainment.
Speaking about his journey, Janak Panchal recounts how, as a 14-year-old, he decided to dive deep into the photography world. Working day in and day out and learning new things, getting more immersed in visual storytelling, he found his passion in filmmaking when he was 17. Thus, he first pursued higher education in Mumbai, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Filmmaking specializing in Cinematography from Whistling Woods International. He then completed a one-year Conservatory in Cinematography at the New York Film Academy, further honing his skills, and went ahead to complete advanced training in Dolby Vision and DaVinci Resolve.
With over five years of experience, he has become a seasoned colorist and cinematographer, leaving an indelible mark on his projects. His work on the acclaimed short film “Bageecha,” which was nominated at Academy Qualifying festivals like LA shorts. His passion for creating art through his lens is evident in every project he undertakes, inspiring those around him.
Also, his work as a colorist on the short film “Kryptonite” received selections and nominations at prestigious events like the Heartland International Film Festival and the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, getting nominated for Best Film by Warner Bros. Discovery, Best Writer by Netflix, and Best Actor by IMDb.
Janak Panchal’s color grading and cinematography expertise have led him to exciting collaborations. His work with Enes Yilmazer on the popular YouTube channels “Enes Yilmazer” and “Enes Plus” garnered over 800 million views and 4.5 million subscribers. His high-profile collaborations with Tommy Hilfiger, Grant Cardone, David Dobrik, Branden Williams, and Rayni Williams have been recognized at the Shorty Awards with the Audience Honor, demonstrating his versatility and skills.
Besides this, Janak Panchal is known for his incredible work on music videos like “Nadaaniyan” with Apporv Arora Films, featured in Rolling Stone India and selected for multiple film festivals.
