Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s cabinet will be expanded today, December 25. A total of 21 MLAs will take oath as ministers at a swearing-in ceremony at 3:30 PM.
The expansion is expected to give representation to all regions of the state. The list of ministers includes both new faces and experienced politicians.
The BJP won a record majority in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections in November 2023. The party won 163 of the 230 seats, while the Congress won just 66 seats. After the election, Mohan Yadav was appointed chief minister.
The expansion is seen as a way to strengthen the BJP’s position in the state. It is also expected to help the party prepare for the next general election.

Ministerial list includes Prahlad Patel, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Tulsi Silawat, Pradeep Laria, Adal Singh Kansana, Chetan Kashyap, Rakesh Singh, Uday Pratap Singh, Riti Pathak, Bhupendra Singh, Govind Rajput, Archana Chitnis, Om Prakash. Dhurve, Narayan Kushwaha, Kunwar Singh Tekam, Vishnu Khatri, Krishna Gaur, Nagar Singh Chauhan, Nirmala Bhuria and Rameshwar Sharma.
