Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) will be setting up an IT and ITeS Enabled Services Technology Park near Vadodara, which will provide direct and indirect employment to at least 10,000 people within the next five years. The park will be developed within the next five years at an investment of Rs7000 crores.
The government of Gujarat and L&T signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the development of the park this morning. The park will provide employment to 2000 engineers and other professionals in a single year.
Along with Research and Development design centres, L&T specializes in technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, collaborative robots, digital factory and autonomous transport. With the construction of IT/ITeS Technology Park, L&T will scale to new heights.
L&T, CEO and Managing Director SN. Subrahmanyan signed the MoU on behalf of the company. Science and Technology Secretary Vijay Nehra signed the MoU on behalf of the government and in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Science and Technology Minister Jitu Vaghani was also present at the event.
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Kailasanathan, Chief Secretary Pankajkumar, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Department Rajkumar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Pankaj Joshi and representatives of L&T were also present at the signing of the agreement.
