Lieutenant General Arvind Walia, Chief of Staff Southern Command, today, visited the military establishments in Vadodara, and met with the local chiefs to review the operations of the base.
During his visit, General Walia was briefed in detail on the operational preparedness, administrative arrangements and training activities of the establishment. A demonstration on ‘Engagement of Remotely Piloted Aircrafts (RPAS) by Upgraded L/70 Gun’ was conducted during the visit which was appreciated by the visiting officer.
Walia also visited Electronics and Mechanical Engineers(EME) School, where he reviewed the existing training methodology and infrastructure of training establishment. The school also showcased new ideas and innovations, which impressed the General greatly.
Lieutenant General Walia emphasized on adoption of innovative methods to counter the threats from Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) and commended the training infrastructure both at Air Defense Brigade and EME School.
