After being admitted on Wednesday night, senior BJP veteran and former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani was discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday, the hospital officials said.
A multidisciplinary team of doctors, including experts in geriatric medicine and urology, examined the 96-year-old leader. He underwent a minor procedure during his stay.
“Advani was admitted for old age-related issues and has been discharged,” the AIIMS official said.
On Wednesday night, around 10.30 p.m., Advani was taken to the AIIMS’s old private ward.
Earlier in the day, a source claimed, “L K Advani is stable. He is being evaluated by a team of doctors from different specialities including urology, cardiology and geriatric medicine.”
