A leopard was found dead on the Kadi-Chhatral Highway, Ahmedabad on Sunday morning. It could have been hit by a vehicle, locals suggested. The animal died due to injuries.
The stretch from where the leopard’s carcass was recovered is a busy highway. Frequent accidents of animals such as roadside cows, dogs and cats were registered earlier from the area.
A case is yet to be registered in the matter, as it is difficult to trace those responsible due to lack of surveillance, sources said. The matter is under investigation.
