The parents of the late Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala, are preparing to welcome a new addition to their family. Charan Kaur, the late singer’s mother, is reportedly pregnant and is expected to give birth soon.
While Charan Kaur and Balkaur Singh, parents of the late singer, have not yet made an official statement, family sources have confirmed the news. Moose Wala’s uncle, Chamkaur Singh, revealed that Charan had opted for the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) technique for her second child and is due to deliver in March. Reportedly, Charan, aged 58, is under the close observation of a medical team and has so far shown positive signs. Her husband, Balkaur Singh, is around 60 years old.
Sidhu Moose Wala, the couple’s only child, was tragically shot dead by unidentified assailants near his village Moosa in Punjab’s Mansa district on June 29, 2022. A day after the assassination, Goldy Brar confessed in a Facebook post that he had planned the murder to avenge the killing of another gangster. The police subsequently identified Brar as the mastermind behind the murder.
Sidhu Moose Wala, one of the greatest Punjabi artists of his generation, was a pivotal figure in bringing Punjabi music to the mainstream. Known for writing and producing his own songs, he was among the wealthiest Punjabi singers. Despite his untimely demise, his songs continue to resonate with fans, racking up millions of views across various music streaming platforms.
