A large number of protestors have emerged to support the Bharwad Family and are demanding strict actions against the murderers of Kishan Bharwad.
Rallies are being held across the state including cities like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Karjan, etc. The Maldhari community is demanding immediate encounter of the accused in Kishan’s murder with the slogan “Kishan hum sharminda hai, tera katil abhi jinda hai”. They have submitted an application demanding justice for Kishan Bharwad.
Apart from Hindu organizations, a large number of the local youth also joined the Maldhari community. Crowds of people thronged these roads with the slogan ‘Hang Kishan’s killers … Hang him …, Hindu culture Zindabad‘. They are demanding that at any cost Kishan’s killers shall be punished.
The murder case of Kishan Bharwad of Dhandhuka is now coming up against the statements of one folk writer after another. Well-known artist Devayat Khawde has also uploaded a video on social media saying that all societies should unite to give justice to the Bharwad family, forget castes, become Hindu and move forward shoulder to shoulder.
Kiran Maldhari, a leader of the Maldhari community, said that Kishan Bharwad was murdered but the police did not carry out proper investigation. If the pro-Hindu and pro-Hindutva government seeks votes in the name of Hindus, then all the accused shall be encountered involved in Bharwad’s murder. Hindus have been killed in the reign of Hindutva.

The ATS team on Sunday arrested another cleric in connection with the murder of Kishan Bharwad in Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad district and brought him to Ahmedabad. Gujarat ATS team has arrested Maulana Kamargani Usmani of Delhi from Delhi. In the murder case, Gujarat ATS said in a press conference that Maulana Kamargani had visited different cities of Gujarat in the last 6 months. More clerics may be named in the assassination plot. Kamargani will be further questioned. Maulana Kamarg, who has a fundamentalist ideology, gives provocative speeches. Sheikh said that the instigation and weapon of the murder were given by Maulana Ayub Jawarawala. Shabbir Chopra was killed. The biker Imtiaz Pathan was arrested.
Accused Mohammad Ayub Yusubbhai Jawarawala was produced in court on Saturday and remanded for 14 days. The court, however, granted an 8-day remand.
