The state government decided to lift the night curfew and Sunday lockdown enforced in Kerala. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed this in a press conference after the Covid review meeting on Tuesday.
Earlier, restrictions were intensified in view of a surge in the daily cases of Covid-19, especially after Onam. But with no rise in the toll, everyone opined to ease the restrictions in the review meeting. The positivity rate has steadily dipped in the last few days to 15.87 per cent. Also, the number of patients in hospitals is also showing a declining trend.
