After nearly three decades working in NDTV, Veteran journalist Sreenivasan Jain has decided to leave the organisation.
The channel’s Group Editor said that he would be stepping down through a Tweet today: “Hi all. An amazing, nearly three-decade-long run at NDTV comes to an end today. The decision to resign wasn’t easy, but .. it is what it is. More later.”
Since 1995, Jain has been a part of the NDTV team. On NDTV 24×7, he hosts the weekly show Truth vs. Hype. From 2003 until 2008, he oversaw the network’s Mumbai bureau, and for a brief period, he served as Managing Editor of Profit, NDTV’s business channel.
Additionally, he has written opinion pieces for the Business Standard. What will be his next professional step has not yet been disclosed.
Jain’s departure occurs shortly after the Adani Group’s acquisition of NDTV. NDTV India’s Senior Executive Editor, Ravish Kumar, resigned in November 2022 as well.
The majority of the shares that NDTV’s founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy had also sold to Gautam Adani’s AMG Media Network, which is currently NDTV’s single-largest stakeholder.
