Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham made his debut in the Hindi film industry with Jism in 2003. However, it has come to light that he was offered a role in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham much earlier than that. In an old episode of Koffee With Karan from 2005, John revealed that Karan Johar had offered him the role of Robby in the iconic film, who played Kareena Kapoor Khan’s boyfriend in just two scenes.
The video of the episode recently resurfaced on social media, leaving fans in awe of what could have been. In the clip, John can be seen jokingly mocking Karan for offering him the role of Robby, saying he couldn’t even find the character in the film. The role was ultimately played by Vikas Sethi.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, with its star-studded cast featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is not just a movie, but an emotion for many Bollywood fans. The revelation that John Abraham was considered for a role in the film has sparked conversations among fans about how his inclusion could have changed the dynamics of the movie.
On social media, fans have also been commenting on how John’s personality has evolved over the years. While some have praised his sweet and reserved nature, others have expressed their desire to see him on-screen with Hrithik Roshan, one of Bollywood’s most popular actors.
