Fresh images from the highly anticipated film ‘Joker 2’, also known as ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’, have been released. The images showcase Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Joker and Lady Gaga making her debut as Harley Quinn, in what appears to be a romantic phase of their characters.
The director of the film, Todd Phillips, shared these new stills on Instagram as a special Valentine’s Day treat for fans. The images provide a glimpse into Phoenix’s transformation into the Joker, with Gaga by his side as Harley.
The first image presents Phoenix and Gaga on stage, bathed in the glow of a spotlight. Phoenix is seen in his iconic Joker makeup, while Gaga sports a minimalistic look. The subsequent image captures a poignant moment between the pair, with Phoenix on one side of bars and Gaga on the other. The final still showcases a rooftop dance between Gaga, dressed in a wedding gown, and Phoenix in a suit.
Phillips captioned the Instagram post with a heartfelt message, “Hoping your day is full of love. 10.4.24.”
Adding to the intrigue, there are rumours that ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ may be a musical. In a recent interview with a leading news portal, the film’s music director, Sam Slater, hinted at the musical element of the film. Slater confirmed his involvement and revealed that his work on ‘Joker 2’ is nearing completion.
