Jio recently expanded the reach of its 4G services including 4G voice and data services in the Ladakh region, at Spangmik village. It has also become the first network to provide 4-g mobile network connectivity, in and around the Pangong area. The region also happens to be a popular tourist destination.
The area has been a point of friction between India and China in recent years.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, a Lok Sabha Member from Ladakh, inaugurated the beginning of network services. He was happy to announce that the long awaited demand of the locals was now fulfilled with the launch of mobile connectivity in the area.
