The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced the commencement of registration for its 2024 “Young Scientist Programme” for school children. The registration process will begin on February 20, 2024.
The programme, known as “YUva VIgyani KAryakram (YUVIKA)”, is designed to impart basic knowledge on emerging trends in space technology, space science, and space applications to young students. According to an announcement by the space agency, students studying in standard 9 as of January 1, 2024, within India are eligible to register for the programme.
The registration window for the ISRO Young Scientist Programme will remain open for two weeks, ending on March 20, 2024. The programme, also referred to as the “Catch them young” initiative, is expected to inspire more students to pursue careers and research in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
ISRO’s YUVIKA 2024 is a special programme for school children, also known as the “Young Scientist Programme”. The programme aims to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science, and Space applications to younger students, who are seen as the future building blocks of our nation. The programme seeks to foster interest in space science and technology among the youth.
