During a recent interview, Virat Kohli made a remark that has left fans wondering about his future plans. “I’ll be gone, you won’t see me for a while,” he said, sparking a great deal of speculation.
Cricket fans were saddened when they heard Kohli talking about his retirement. In a viral video, the iconic cricketer got candid about his retirement plans, and revealed that he would possibly go off the grid.
“As a sportsman, we do have an end date to our career. I’m just working backwards, I can’t keep playing forever. I’m sure I won’t have any regrets left.”
“I’ll give my all till I’m playing, but once I’m done, I’ll be gone, you won’t see me for a while.” (with a smile)

His comments are fuelling speculation that Kohli may be hinting about moving abroad with wife, Anushka Sharma and their two children Vamika and Akaay. Early this year, there were rumours that the couple was planning to move to UK to raise their children away from the media spotlight.
They chose to welcome their son in the UK. While no official announcement has been made, there is plenty of speculation.
The couple, who are very particular about keeping their children’s pictures out of the media, sent out gift hampers to the paparazzi, requesting them to avoid taking pictures of Vamika and Akaay.
