An onboard medical emergency caused an IndiGo flight from the national capital to Doha to be diverted to Karachi, the airline reported on Monday.
The statement reads: “Unfortunately, on arrival, the passenger was declared dead by the airport medical team.” Flight 6E-1736 was diverted owing to a medical emergency.
The flight was headed to Doha, Qatar, however, it was detoured to Karachi, Pakistan. According to the airline, it was coordinating with the appropriate authorities to make plans for relocating the flight’s remaining passengers.
“We are deeply saddened by the news and our prayers and wishes are with his family and loved ones,” IndiGo said in the statement.
