An official reported that on Wednesday, a three-person Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Navy made an emergency landing off the coast of Mumbai while on a routine exercise.
According to the official, a naval patrol aircraft rescued the crew. On a routine mission off Mumbai, an Indian Navy ALH ditched not far from the coast.
The official claimed that quick search and rescue efforts ensured the crew’s safe recovery by a naval patrol ship.
Ditching refers to an emergency landing on water. An inquiry to investigate the incident has been ordered, the official stated.
