Indian Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (North West), Gandhinagar, organized a Yoga session on Monday, prior to the eighth International Day of Yoga. Many Coast Guard establishments in Gujarat hold similar yoga sessions and activities between May 19 to June 21.
These activities are conducted as part of the preparations for the final event on June 21.
The Yoga session, held at various stations, was attended by approximately 900 Coast Guard members and their families.
Besides Yoga sessions, all Coast Guard units in Gujarat region conduct lectures, seminars, quiz competitions, and awareness drives.
Similarly, earlier, a Countdown Day Programme of International Day of Yoga 2022 yoga sessions were held by the same ICG headquarter and NCC Gujarat Directorate on Thursday, May 19. This programme was organized with an aim to establish better coordination among physical, mental and spiritual faculties.
The Countdown Day Programme of International Day of Yoga was conducted at all 05 Group HQs of NCC Directorate jurisdiction and 43 NCC Units. About 200 Coast Guard personnel and their family members had participated in that prelude session.
