I think the courage of wanting to be honest indeed always creates unnecessary misunderstanding and invites disasters

On June 15, BTS announced a hiatus for the band. In simple words, there will be no group music or concerts. The septet, will however, shoot the Run episodes and focus on solo projects.
With all the confusion and tension that ensued after this announcement, the group’s leader RM took to their Weverse account to clear everything out. “As I saw the screenshots and the titles of the articles that were sent to me, there were quite a lot of provocative and partially mouthed keywords such as disbanding, promotions, break, declaration,” he started his letter.
“It’s not that I wasn’t aware something like this would happen, nor was I not prepared but indeed it is pretty bitter,” Namjoon added.
He spoke about the video and said that “It was solely a video dedicated to all the ARMYs who stayed beside us for the past 9 years.” They explained everything during the dinner party and also in Yet to Come. It meant that the present is not the end. They will come back stronger in the future.
RM also added: “Of course, there will be reactions from outsiders saying that we’re making a fuss, we’re talking highly and mighty, etc… But to just say that ‘wouldn’t any other artist or fandom say the same thing’, there’s definitely something special that exists only between BTS and ARMY as much as the contents we’ve released through the time of almost 10 years that we’ve been running without a stop. This feeling is a question that we’ve received countless times through the interviews so far, but for some reason, it is quite difficult to describe in a few words and I find it hard too.”
In the video, the BTS members spoke about the pressure of being active for 9-years straight without a break. They said they needed to reexplore their individuality as singers and eventually come back stronger as a band. That means no group music or concerts for a while.
The Bangtan Team Dinner 2022 video was posted on YouTube on Tuesday. While most of the fans would have expected to witness something similar to the 2018 version, it was quite literally the opposite of it. ARMY went through a series of emotions after the K-Pop sensation group, BTS announced that they have decided to take a step back for now and will be focusing on solo projects.
